For SK Security, a multi location security company, that meant retiring a WordPress build that had served an earlier chapter of the business and replacing it with a platform built for the company it had actually become. Months later, that same platform faced a far rarer test: migrating an entire online identity to a new domain, one of the highest stakes maneuvers in web strategy, without the traffic collapse that swallows most migrations of its kind. The Challenge

A multi location security company needs a platform that can carry two entirely different weight classes of responsibility at once, and SK Security’s legacy site, aging and built for a smaller version of the business, could carry neither well. Externally, the platform had to present a polished, credible face to two distinct audiences: prospective clients requesting quotes and estimates, and prospective hires applying across roles and locations that varied widely, eventually spanning more than fifty pages of content. Internally, it needed a working instrument rather than a brochure: a dispatch portal connecting dispatch staff directly to the Hiring Manager and the VP of Business Development on incoming hires and client inquiries. A second, later reckoning sat on top of all of it: the decision to move the entire platform to a new domain. The data on domain migrations is unforgiving. Poorly executed transfers routinely erase between 20 and 60 percent of organic traffic within days, and only a small fraction of migrations leave a site better off afterward. A domain change sits at the top of the risk hierarchy for a simple reason: it asks search engines to hand over years of earned trust to an address with no track record of its own.

Figma work opened April 30 across an initial twenty pages, with working designs ready by May 2. Only once that blueprint earned approval did development begin, scaling from those first twenty pages to the full fifty plus page platform the business needed at launch.

Technical SEO Engineered In, Not Patched On Later

Uplateral does not sell SEO as a marketing service. Strategy, content authority, and outreach are marketing disciplines, and SK Security worked with dedicated marketing and SEO partners and third party SEO firms for exactly that side of the equation. What Uplateral owns, without exception, on every build, is making certain the technical bones underneath a site can actually rank in the first place. HTTPS enforced sitewide, canonical URLs standardized, a validated sitemap.xml, an audited robots.txt, verified structured data, all in place before the platform went live May 15, 2025, fully functional across desktop, tablet, and mobile from day one. Full content, photography, and video across all fifty plus pages followed, completing November 22, 2025.

The Migration

With the platform live and proven, SK Security faced the move most businesses put off indefinitely: transferring its entire online identity to a new domain. In close coordination with SK Security’s marketing and SEO partners, a six phase migration launched December 1, 2025, structured around a hybrid brand preservation strategy: the legacy domain would remain indexed permanently as a high authority referral engine feeding the new one, while the new domain was promoted as the official address and built independent backlink authority in parallel.

Phase 1 · Weeks 1–2

Technical Foundation and Risk Control. HTTPS, canonical URLs, sitemap, robots, dual tracking, schema, and indexation verified.

Phase 2 · Week 3

Controlled Authority Transfer. One to one redirects, change of address request, fresh sitemap, and duplicate indexing safeguards.
